Enjoy some Nas Lyrics -

"Freedom or jail, clips inserted, a baby's being born
Same time a man is murdered—the beginning and end
As far as rap go, it's only natural I explain
My plateau, and also, what defines my name
"

Willis Walker - Founder of The Head Culture

Our Beginning

To EXPLOREANALYZEEDUCATE

APPRECIATE, and ENRICH our culture and the things that we love.

Born in the mid-eighties, Willis lived his adolescent years through the “Golden Age” of hip-hop and experienced it’s evolution through to present day. With his own aspirations to be a rap artist since youth, Willis immersed himself into the study of all aspects of Hip Hop culture, while also dabbling in music theory.

The idea of a Hip-Hop oriented platform was conceived in the summer of 2018 by Willis Walker, a life-long enthusiast, who grew tired of the ‘click-bait’ and ‘tabloid article’ lens through which Hip Hop culture’s current events were often presented. He believed that it fueled the meme centric, cynical, troll heavy subculture of today where thoughtful discourse and analysis was often lost amongst hot takes, and sensational headlines.

On September 26, 2019, Willis put his thoughts to action and founded The Head Culture on the premise of sharing his thoughts with those who shared the same love for the culture. On October 7th, Willis gained his first official contributor, Quinton Gregory, a close associate with whom he often shared a difference in opinion to add an alternative perspective to the discourse.
